About Ioana Moldovan MD
Dr. Ioana Moldovan has been in the practice of Rheumatology within Southern California for well over 17 years. She received her medical degree in 1997 from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Carol Davila, in Bucharest, Romania.
She pursued her residency in Internal Medicine at the Mount Sinai Englewood Program in New Jersey. This was followed by her fellowship in Rheumatology at SUNY Brooklyn, New York, under the mentorship of Dr. Ellen Ginzler, an internationally renowned professor with a focus in lupus research.
After finishing her fellowship in 2004, Dr. Moldovan joined the Rheumatology Department at Loma Linda University, where she continued her practice and research, taught medical students, residents, and fellows until 2012, when she became a private practitioner. She has had numerous publications in national and international rheumatology journals. She is currently a honorary faculty, Clinical Associate Professor, at Loma Linda University. She is ABIM Board Certified in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine.

Dr. Moldovan treats all types of rheumatology ailments, devoting her time into her patients and addressing their needs with a compassionate and gentle approach. She uses evidence-based medicine to create a personalized, holistic treatment plan unique to each patient.
